TFI is proud of the things that make us different. Compliance, Our Global Reach, and the Innovation and Advances that drive our ventures make us different in the way we do business. The things that make us different provide assurance and competitive advantages to our customers.
Compliance in manufacturing is vital to the manufacturing and retail industries, and for our family of companies, it has been the only way to do business long before the concept made headlines.
For the last 35 years, we have supported, encouraged, and insisted that the factories we own and with whom we do business do it the right way. By empowering women, caring for the environment, building safe, comfortable, modern facilities, and improving the communities where the factories are and the workers live, everyone benefits.
Our retail customers and brands are confident that what we do is more than just comply.
We are proud to be a part of the building of schools, medical facilities, and daycare centers, the awarding of scholarships and merit prizes, and being on the forefront of movements to change the way apparel has been manufactured worldwide. The greatest accomplishment of our Company and of our partners’ Companies is the positive impact we’ve had on individuals and places where they live and work.
Below are just a few examples of the programs and efforts at work where we work:
Women’s Empowerment educates and empowers women who are homeless, with the skills and confidence necessary to secure a job, create a healthy lifestyle, and regain a home for themselves and their children.
The Bindu Foundation is a registered Sri Lankan charity that aims to empower vulnerable women, families and communities through water security. Born out of the Brandix CSR centre, the foundation aims to change the lives of people all across the country by bringing together like minded individuals and organizations who want to have a positive impact on our society.
P.A.C.E Gap Inc.
Advancing Women to Advance the World. P.A.C.E. is a program for the women who make our clothes. Through P.A.C.E., women gain opportunities to advance in work and in life.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, CCA has provided carbon management and sustainability strategy services to a variety of clients from different sectors and trades, ranging from manufacturers, retailers, trading, hotels, entertainment, media, finance, estate management, professional and public services, logistics and transportation. Non-government organizations, chambers of commerce and sports associations have also measured their carbon footprint and/or offset their carbon emissions to attain carbon neutral status for their activities.
The Global Compact
The UN Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. By doing so, business, as a primary driver of globalization, can help ensure that markets, commerce, technology and finance advance in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere.
As social, political and economic challenges (and opportunities) — whether occurring at home or in other regions — affect business more than ever before, many companies recognize the need to collaborate and partner with governments, civil society, labour and the United Nations.
This ever-increasing understanding is reflected in the Global Compact's rapid growth. With over 12,000 corporate participants and other stakeholders from over 145 countries, it is the largest voluntary corporate responsibility initiative in the world.
Our ventures span across the globe, taking advantage of speed, price, tax and duty agreements. Different regions provide benefits in our ability to make quality goods at competitive prices. Our Western Hemisphere production allows for speed to market that Asian facilities cannot match. For example, Intimark can produce pre-approved garments for replenishment from purchase order to distribution center in under 20 days. Our Stretchline operations supply narrow elastic to the intimate apparel industry in Sri Lanka, China, Indonesia, Central America and Mexico out of facilities near the manufacturing centers maximizing efficiency in communication and price. Our fully automated Bangladesh sweater facility provides top quality sweaters to European and American customers at highly competitive prices.
Innovations and Technology
One of our strongest capabilities is the cutting edge research and development of fabrics, yarns, components, manufacturing techniques, and processes.
Stretchline Holdings, for example, has many patents on developments in bra components that make the foundations more practical, comfortable and durable. Linea Aqua developed the fabric for the swimsuits used by the USA Olympic swim team in 2008 that broke numerous World Records. The swimsuit was later banned from competition due to its advanced materials.
Samtex recently invested in technology that improves the process of online fitting, allowing a customer to more accurately size themselves when purchasing garments over the internet.
We are continually striving to make advancements in the apparel industry and look for technology and innovations in which to invest.
